Don't Tell Jack is much too good for Tramore rivals Well-backed from early shows of 13/2, Don't Tell Jack easily accounted for nine rivals in the Adare Manor Opportunity Maiden Hurdle. Returned a 7/4 joint-favourite, the six-year-old raced in second under Charlie O'Dwyer, improving into a share of the lead on the downhill run after three out. Sauntering to the front before the next, he quickly increased his advantage and ultimately came home 16-lengths clear in the colours of JP McManus. Backed from 11/4 into 7/4 joint-favouritism, Jackmoon filled the runner-up spot under Jordan Canavan for John Flavin, while hurdling debutant Mr Master Mac (7/1) was another three-and-a-quarter lengths back in third. "The kinder ground is definitely a big factor to him and this was a nice race to find," winning trainer Enda Bolger reflected. "We'll be following the summer races for him as he likes the nicer ground. He jumps well. "He is rated 111 over fences and we could throw him into something later on too." A E85,000 Tattersalls Derby Sale purchase and previously in the care of Ellmarie Holden and Joseph O'Brien, the brown victor is out of Shop Dj, a Grade 3 bumper winner for Peter Fahey. STEWARDS REPORTS The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident after jumping the third last involving Mr Master Mac, ridden by T.E. O'Connor, Dont Tell Jack, ridden by C.G. O'Dwyer, Jackmoon (FR), ridden by Jordan Canavan, and Lunar Majesty, ridden by R.A. Berry, where it appeared Mr. Master Mac and Lunar Majesty got marginally tight for room. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
