Dont Go Yet lands Wexford feature under Sarah Kavanagh The veteran Dont Go Yet came from off the pace to run out an impressive winner of the featured Michael O'Murchadha Handicap Hurdle at Wexford. Held up towards rear by jockey Sarah Kavanagh, the Edward Cawley owned and trained 12-year-old was produced around the outside of runners to make his challenge entering the home straight. Heading leader Tir Og between the final two flights, the 5/1 chance skipped clear after the last to win by six-and-a-half lengths from Becasse. Trainer Eddie Cawley said: "I couldn't see Philip Fenton's horse (One Big Boum) being beaten and I thought Philip Rothwell's horse (Give Him A Chance) had a good chance too. "This lad has been on the go along time and I brought him here and thought it might be the last time he'll ever run over a hurdle. He's 12 and it's coming towards the end of the season and I'm not going to run him on very fast ground. I thought he might enjoy today, with a bit of an ease in the ground. "The veterans race is on here in about a months time and he could come back for that. He is nearly better over fences than he is over hurdles. We'll see how things are at the time. "Sarah is in with us three days a week. She is very obliging and if we are stuck, she'll come in. Thank God we've got a winner for her anyway." Additional reporting by Donal Murphy.
