Down Royal now yielding to soft The ground at Down Royal is now yielding to soft ahead of this afternoon's card at the northern venue. There was 2mm of rain overnight at the course and the forecast is for light showers today. The ground for the day's other meeting at Wexford remains soft to heavy after 2mm of rain yesterday. Officials report drying conditions at present but rain is expected in the late afternoon. Limerick race on Saturday and Sunday and there are periods of heavy rain forecast over the weekend. There was 0.5mm overnight. The going is currently yielding to soft for the inside track on Saturday and soft to heavy for the main track, which will be used on Sunday. Navan race on Sunday and the ground is soft, soft to heavy in places. The forecast is for showers today and tomorrow but it is set to be mainly dry on Sunday.
