Dragon enhances fine Harvest Festival record Dragon Of Malta (6/1) enhanced his fine Listowel record with victory under Donagh O'Connor in the Visit Millennium Machinery Open House Exhibition 9th - 11th October Handicap. After a quick break, the eight-year-old tracked the leaders, moved second on the approach to the straight and headed Still She Blooms a furlong out before running on well to beat that rival by a length and three-quarters. Dragon Of Malta, trained by Pat O'Donnell for the Gzira Syndicate, has run at every Harvest Festival since 2020 and his record at the meeting now reads 324121. This was his first success since winning over 7f here in 2023 and he is declared to run in the corresponding race over that trip tomorrow. Part-owner Peter Keogh said: "He had a lovely run at Gowran the last day when he just couldn't get to the winner. This is just his time of year and he has only ever been out of the first-four once racing around here. "Pat (O'Donnell) is at the sales today and I'm involved in the syndicate and ride him out every morning before going to work. That's six wins for him now, we bought him as a yearling for €15,000 and he has been absolutely brilliant, so we can't complain. He has been super for us. "He is in again tomorrow, so we'll see how he is and might strike again." Additional reporting by Tom Weekes
