Well-supported Dromore Glory (1/1f) continued his uptick in progression at Dundalk today, landing the DundalkStadium.com Apprentice Handicap for jockey Nicola Burns, trainer Paul Flynn and owner Thomas Lynam.

The six-year-old scored from an initial rating of 49 last January and having finished second twice subsequently, today held persistent Slowdownbarney by a half-length.

Longford-based trainer Flynn reported “he got a lovely ride and Nicola was great value for that 7lb claim in that race (for apprentices who have not ridden 15 winners).

"Dromore Glory likes it up here and probably isn’t as good on the turf. If the handicapper leaves him at 50 on the turf, he might just get through one! His all-weather form is definitely a lot better.”

"I don't know if there is a race on finals night as he will probably go up too much to get into the 0-65 bracket."
