Eight runners go to post in the featured Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Captain Christy Rated Novice Chase at Clonmel this afternoon.

Jessica Harrington takes the opportunity to claim off Duckweed as she gives the leg up to Conor Brassil with his 7Ib allowance.

Duckweed is rated as a 122 performer which puts her 1lb off a pair of rivals on the 123 perch - Kylestyle and New Kid In Town - and one ahead of Heron Heights on an official mark of 121.

Sir Ector is an entrant here for the Nicole McKenna yard in County Tyrone, but the previously very useful gelding was beaten at Sligo on Wednesday.

Carole Rose, Chief Of Panama and Swantykay complete the line-up. David Mullins partners last-time-out victor Chief Of Panama, whilst Davy Russell is on Swantykay from the in-form Ellmarie Holden stable.

Ruby Walsh rides the aforementioned New Kid In Town for Willie Mullins, and they also combine with Sir Vincent in the Nire Valley Handicap Hurdle.

That veteran must bounce back after pulling up at the Listowel Festival where he was returning from a mammoth 1,083-day break.

Walsh has a couple of other mounts on the programme. He is aboard a horse with definite form claims in the opening Laganore Maiden Hurdle, when teaming up with the Andrew McNamara-trained Creative Talent

After riding Khalessi for TJ Nagle at Ballinrobe last time, Walsh again takes the reins on the Milan mare when she goes in the Thorney Bridge Novice Handicap Hurdle.

Charles Byrnes and Davy Russell have strong hopes in the Tickincor Handicap Chase with Not For You The Beneficial gelding has been a beaten favourite on his last three starts, but he could put the record straight now.
