Ado McGuinness doesn’t plan on returning to Dundalk with Go Athletico during the winter.

The French-bred gelding finished mid-division in a sprint handicap at the venue last Friday but is set to be kept for premier handicaps on the turf, if he remains with the yard.

Another option for the seven-year-old is a potential online sale next week.

Go Athletico gave his connections a big day at the Curragh in July when winning the €100,000 Scurry Handicap on Irish Oaks Day.

“He's not coming back (to Dundalk). We were eager to try him, but we are going to wait now,” said McGuinness.

"He might go to the online sale next week and we'll see what happens then after that.

"Of course you would like to keep hold of him. There's a good premier handicap in him next year somewhere along the way off his mark.

"He's getting a bit on but, if you just mind him, he is definitely going to win one along the line."
