After the emphatic success of The Pipeman earlier in the evening, trainer Natalia Lupini completed a double at Dundalk when Hellorhighwater landed the BAR 1 Betting ´First For Football´ Handicap over a mile.

Available at 8/1 this morning, the four-year-old went off 10/3 and raced close to the pace under Ben Coen.

After moving second early in the straight, he gave chase to Exquisite Acclaim and got past that course specialist inside the final furlong to win by a length and a quarter.

Owned by Thehell Partnership, the Sergei Prokofiev had won twice on easy ground before finishing down the field in the Irish Cambridgeshire, and was making his all-weather debut here.

“It's great to have him back. He suffered a little puncture wound when he won at Limerick,” said Lupini.

“He ran in the Cambridgeshire and unfortunately that didn't work out. It maybe came a bit too soon after his injury. We were happy with him but that probably knocked his confidence a little bit.

“We were very happy with him at home and thought he would have a chance today.

“It was a very competitive race and I'm glad he has come back to form, it's nice to have him.

“He's going to be a nice horse going forward. We'll see what options there are for him, obviously he's only had three runs this year so he'll probably get another run or two.

“He handled the surface lovely and Ben said he was very happy with him. We'll see what options there are over a mile or a mile-and-two.”
