Dunguib faces five

Dunguib will face five rivals as he aims to maintain his unbeaten record over timber in Sunday's Bar One Racing Royal Bond Novice Hurdle at Fairyhouse.

The rising star of the National Hunt game has been imperious in winning both his starts this season to date.

His regular rider Brian O'Connell has turned professional in time for the Grade One event on Philip Fenton's charge.

John Kiely's Sweeps Hill, winner of a muddling race at Punchestown last month, also looks to maintain a 100% record and will have the assistance of Tony McCoy in the saddle.

"He's won his two hurdles race nicely, but Dunguib beat him very easily in his bumper so he has a bit of catching up to do," said Frank Berry, racing manager to owner J P McManus.

"He's in good form, he won't mind the ground and he should give a good account of himself. He jumps well, touch wood."

Some Present, who has come off second-best in two slowly-run races this season, the first against Sweeps Hill and then most recently behind Loosen My Load at Cheltenham, is out again for Tom Mullins.

However, in a move to combat the same scenario again Mullins is running Deise Dan as an apparent pacemaker.

Alice Bradys Call and Takestan complete the field.
