Duntle will be given the chance to test her powers at Group One level on her next appearance after impressing in the Desmond Stakes at Leopardstown.

David Wachman's filly justified favouritism in the Sandringham Handicap at Royal Ascot and got off the mark in Pattern company in good style on Thursday.

The Coolmore Fusaichi Pegasus Matron Stakes on September 8th could be her next objective.

"She did it well and she'll step up to Group One company now," said Wachman.

"I'll speak with the owners. She's in the Matron Stakes, so we'll have a chat and see which way we're going.

"She's capable of going anywhere now. She's jumped through all the stages up to now."

Alan Cooper, racing manager for Duntle's owners the Niarchos family, was equally delighted with the performance, and raised the possibility of the three-year-old making a trip across the Atlantic.

"We haven't sat down and discussed plans yet, but she has the entry in the Matron Stakes at Leopardstown and we also have a choice of engagements in the States," said Cooper.

"We'll leave it a few days and then decide where we're going to go.

"It was a step up in class for her on Thursday and the underfoot conditions weren't ideal, but she acquitted herself very well."
