Dynaste misses Wetherby Dynaste has been ruled out of his intended seasonal reappearance at Wetherby on Saturday after working "flat" on Tuesday. David Pipe's top-class novice chaser from last term was due to revert to timber for the bet365 Hurdle, registered as the West Yorkshire Hurdle, against At Fishers Cross and Tidal Bay. But after an unsatisfactory gallop earlier in the week, his attentions have been switched to either the Paddy Power Gold Cup at Cheltenham or the Betfair Chase at Haydock. "He's not going to run now at Wetherby. We are going to wait for the Paddy Power or the Betfair," Pipe told At The Races. "The idea was to run at Wetherby, but he worked a bit flat (on Tuesday) and we are now going to wait for one of the other two races. "I was speaking to his owner earlier and I think we'll leave it until closer to the time (to decide which one). "Preference had been for the Betfair at Haydock, but he is entered in the Paddy Power and is favourite for that. "We'll see how some other contenders get on this weekend at Wetherby and how our fellow is closer to the time. "The King George is his main target for the first half of the season. "Obviously he won the Feltham very easily last year. He likes the track and he'll like the soft ground, so that's his first aim. "He looks really well and had been working well, but he just didn't work well on Tuesday. "We are just being cautious as it's a long season."
