Champion jockey Jack Kennedy and trainer Gordon Elliott combined for success in Cork's opening Paddy Power From The Horse's Mouth Podcast Maiden Hurdle today, with Robcour's easy winner Marco Du Seuil (10/11f).

Elliott endured a frustrating spell at Down Royal on Friday and Saturday as fast ground resulted in the trainer withdrawing high-profile horses but, today, nonetheless registered a fifth success in the three-day period with Marco Du Deuil.

The French-bred gelding scored readily by 4.5 lengths from Bacharach and afterwards Kennedy commented "he jumped and travelled away, and was good. He had experience and fitness on his side so I was happy to be forward on him and it worked out.

"He was almost waiting for something to come to him and only did what he had to, up the home straight. I think he can improve away now."
