Elliott excited by Don's Kempton bid Gordon Elliott believes Don Cossack will be in his element at Kempton on St Stephen's Day when he takes aim at the William Hill King George VI Chase. The high-class eight-year-old will head to England for the coveted Grade One over Christmas before being revved up for a tilt at the Gold Cup at the Cheltenham Festival. Elliott told the Irish Field: "He seems to handle any ground but, at this stage of his life, he seems to enjoy better ground. "The Gold Cup is the plan and after Kempton, all being well, he'll go for the Gold Cup. "He ran at Cheltenham, Aintree and Punchestown last season and he has won six Grade Ones for us. "He is a very exciting horse to have in the yard and I think Kempton will suit him."
