Elusive City Filly Tops Strong Trade On Day 2 A strong trade was recorded during the second session of Goffs November Foal Sale, which saw a top price of ?55,000 reached for Miltown Park Stud´s Elusive City filly out of winning Mujadil mare Fabuco. She was bought by Peter Doyle Bloodstock. The only Invincible Spirit foal to go through the ring on day two (Lot 257) attracted plenty of interest and was knocked down to Pier House Stud for ?48,000. The filly is a half sister to two winners and was sold by Mr Myles Sweeney.Tally Ho Stud went to ?40,000 to secure Knocknasna Stud´s Redback filly (Lot 278), while another foal to fetch ?40,000 was Lot 226, a Choisir half brother to Group 3 winner Stratham. Closely related to Spartacus and Johan Cruyff, the colt was consigned by Ballyhampshire Stud and purchased by Bluebell Farm.Aggregate turnover for the day was ?2,116,100, with an average price of ?12,748. The 38% increase in median, from ?8,000 last year to ?11,000 reflects what was a very solid day's trading.The foal sale continues until Friday 17th, with selling commencing at 11am on Wednesday, and 12pm on Thursday and Friday. The breeding stock section of the sale will be held on Saturday and Sunday with the sale starting at 9.30am each day.
