The Gordon Elliott trained Emily Love made it four wins from her last four runs when easily landing the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Mares Hurdle at Killarney.

Sent off 6/4f under Josh Williamson, the Mount Nelson mare tracked leader Kilbuny Supersonic for much of the contest.

Williamson moved up to dispute travelling strongly entering the home straight, taking over in front at the penultimate flight.

Staying on strongly from the back of the last, Emily Love eventually beat the staying on Belle The Lioness by five-and-a-half lengths.

Gordon Elliott said: "Jack is first-choice and I wanted to claim off Emily Love as she had a penalty but, with the way the ground worked out, Jack would definitely have ridden the other one (winner).

"It is nice to see Cooke's Lass getting up after her fall and also good to see Jack being ok after having his first fall since returning (from injury).

"Emily Love is a very tough mare but to be honest, I was very worried about both my runners on that ground and whether or not we'd run them. She is just honest, jumps and is tough.

"She is owned by a good man Jim Reilly who lives near us and has been a big supporter of Cullentra for a long time, so I'm delighted for him and his family is here too."
