Emily Love (7/4f) asserted in the closing stages of the mares' hurdle to bring up her hat-trick, for three different jockeys.

Gordon Elliott 's charge arrived on the back of victories in Limerick (under Sam Ewing) and Perth (for Sean Bowen), and marked herself out as a progressive sort.

She was always in the box seat behind Jane Eire and took over for Carl Millar three out.

After that obstacle, she hugged the rail but wasn't home yet as Adela Icon threw down her challenge jumping the last. In the closing stages Emily Love proved more than resolute as she went on by a length and three-parts in this extended two-and-a-quarter-mile contest.

Eye Of The Tiger (18/1) got up for second by a length from Adela Icon (2/1).

Stable representative Jody McGarvey said: “That’s three in a row now and its great for the owners. She has a nice pedigree, and it looks like she could have a future over fences as well.

“She was a bit unruly at the start but, once she gets going, she’s very straightforward. She jumped super, travelled nicely into the race and, when she got to the front, she kept going well.”

Millar added: “She’s very straightforward, a lovely mare.”

She remained in the stable yard afterwards and he said: “She gets a bit hot afterwards, so she didn’t come back into the parade ring but it’s just the heat and she’s fine.”
