Emperor wins second bumper under owner O'Neill Minella Emperor, ridden by his owner Michael O'Neill, appreciated stepping back up in distance as he landed Cork's 2m3f bumper for trainer Emmet Mullins. A winner over the same trip at Kilbeggan in May when also partnered by his owner, the Shantou gelding tracked the leaders and was kept a little wide on the track. A couple of his rivals looked to be travelling better in behind as he was pushed along to lead turning for home but he stayed on well to account for promising newcomer Jack Owen Jack by two lengths. O'Neill said: "It's unbelievable to win again. I hunted for the better ground on the outside as it seemed to be better and it worked out well. "He might go for a hurdle race at the end of the month and I'll stay riding him away. He is a nice type." Additional reporting by Thomas Weekes
