The Raceday Stewards interviewed Mr J.P. Crowley, rider of Morning Venture, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the Whip Regulation and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Mr J.P. Crowley was in breach of R.10.3(b)(out of contention) and having considered his clean record in this regard, they suspended him for two racedays

Penalties - Penalty - Winner of an I.N.H. Flat race or a N.H. flat race 7lb extra
Riders - Qualified Riders under I.N.H.S. Rules. Professional Riders under I.N.H.S. Rules (other than Apprentices) who have not lost the right to claim the 7lb allowance under Rule 52 (up to and including 8th October) may also ride in this race.
