Enright completes Tramore double Bumper-placed Derryville (7/4f) made a winning jumps debut at Tramore today when providing jockey Philip Enright with a double, in the Walsh King Accountants Mares Maiden Hurdle. Runner-up behind this year’s best bumper performer Bambino Fever last December, the daughter of Affinisea today was briefly short of room on the inner after jumping the third-last flight and having soon improved to lead, landed on all-fours over the last but scored readily. Winning trainer Sam Curling, who raised and initially pre-trained last season’s Champion Chaser Marine Nationale, wasn’t present and Enright reported “Derryville deserved that as she had great runs in bumpers. “She jumped pretty well and Sam (Curling) is a great man to school them. His business is buying and selling, but gets a couple of mares from owners to get form for breeding: she's one so hopefully can progress for the lads. In the main she jumped well and she will learn a lot from today. Hopefully she can win another one or two during the summer. "All her bumpers runs were solid and anything that finished in front of her had decent form in the book. "The ground out there is lovely, it's good to yielding ground and she wouldn't mind it a little bit better. She doesn't need it any better though.” Enright was earlier successful on the Tom Hughes-trained Aussie Warrior in the opening chase. Quotes from Donal Murphy
