The Raceday Stewards received a request from trainer Mr. C. Collins to run Call Me Rose without hind shoes
Evidence was heard from the trainer concerned who stated that his charge required sedation to be shod behind
Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards denied the request on this occasion and ordered the withdrawal of Call Me Rose in accordance with the provisions of Regulation 16 and Rule 18

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident on the bend leaving the back straight involving Derryville, ridden by P.T. Enright, placed first and She'll Be Kept, ridden by C.P. Millar, placed third where it appeared She'll Be Kept came across Derryville. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. P.T. Enright stated that things became momentarily tight. C.P. Millar stated that things became tight but that he maintained his position. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found that no further action was warranted.
