Trainer Dessie Hughes was set to sit tight with his eight-year-old until the new year but is now mulling over the prospect of running him in the two-mile contest on December 29. 'We changed plans for Hardy Eustace this season and were thinking about waiting until January before starting him off, but there is chance that he might be ready to have his first run back at Leopardstown,' Hughes told the Racing Post. 'He has been on the go for six weeks now, but he has only been doing proper cantering for the past two weeks. 'He?s in very good form and looks a million dollars. I?m very happy with him.
