Exciting Frankel filly given Ascot option Fair Eva, arguably the stand-out performer from the offspring of Frankel to have graced the track so far, is one of 20 entries for the Princess Margaret Juddmonte Stakes at Ascot on Saturday. The Roger Charlton-trained filly rocketed to prominence in the ante-post market for the Qipco 1000 Guineas when impressing on her debut at Haydock, and would be stepping straight into Pattern company for the Group Three event. Al Johrah, runner-up to the brilliant Lady Aurelia in the Queen Mary Stakes at Royal Ascot, sets the standard for the six-furlong contest, while Parsnip (Michael Bell) and Pellucid (David Simcock) join Fair Eva in being unbeaten once-raced contenders. Irish representation comes in the form of the Aidan O'Brien-trained How and Michael O'Callaghan's Magical Fire, who was an excellent second to Roly Poly in the Duchess of Cambridge Stakes at Newmarket's July meeting. Joseph Tuite's Madam Dancealot was only ninth in the Queen Mary but has won since at Newbury.
