Fahy's options for Assembly

Morning Assembly has a choice of engagements as he prepares to return to his beloved Punchestown later this month.

Pat Fahy's stable star clinched the Grade One Irish Daily Mirror Novice Hurdle at last year's Punchestown Festival and has won twice over fences at the track this season.

He was far from disgraced when third in the RSA Chase at the Cheltenham Festival last month and Fahy is considering whether to target his charge at the Growise Champion Novice Chase on April 29 or let him take on more seasoned campaigners in the Bibby Financial Services Punchestown Gold Cup the following day.

He said: "Morning Assembly has been in great form since his run at Cheltenham and is doing really well at the moment.

"We entered him in both races to keep our options open and will have a good look at both races before we make a decision. He seems to really like Punchestown."

Morning Assembly is one of 19 entries for the Growise Champion Novice Chase on the opening day of the Festival.

Willie Mullins, who won the 2012 race with Sir Des Champs, has a powerful hand this year that includes the likes of Ballycasey, Champagne Fever and Mozoltov.

Cheltenham Festival winner Spring Heeled could represent trainer Jim Culloty9, while the Ted Walsh-trained Foxrock, a dual Grade Two winner this season, could bid for a first success at the top level.
