Fahy and Crowe appeal Shantou Ed decision Trainer Pat Fahy and jockey Alan Crowe have both appealed the fines and suspensions handed out to them over the running of Shantou Ed at Fairyhouse on Saturday. On a day when four of owner JP McManus' horses were the subject of running and riding enquiries his Shantou Ed was suspended for 30 days under the non-trier rule 212. Fahy was fined €1000 following the run while Crowe was suspended for seven days and ordered to forfeit his riding fee. The same punishments were also handed out to connections of Bobbie's Diamond following the running of the Auld Stand/Kellys Pub Beginners Chase. Jockey Philip Enright has decided to appeal his seven-day suspension. The horse was also banned for 30 days and trainer Tony Martin fined €1000 under rule 212.
