Morning Assembly is reported in fine shape ahead of the Topaz Novice Chase at Leopardstown on December 29.

The six-year-old is already a Grade One winner over hurdles at Punchestown in April and will bid to strike at the top level over fences after winning both of his starts over the bigger obstacles so far this term.

His latest success came in the Florida Pearl Novice Chase over two and three-quarter mileslast month when he defeated Don Cossack, who advertised the form by winning the Drinmore Novice Chase at Fairyhouse.

"We're very happy with him, no problems. It's all gone lovely since Punchestown, no setbacks and no problems so far," said trainer Pat Fahy.

"We're aiming for Leopardstown, that's the plan.

"Three miles will be lovely for him. I think it shouldn't be a problem. There's rain forecast, so the more the merrier. We're not afraid of that."
