Fairyhouse also off Both Irish meetings today have been cancelled after Fairyhouse finally lost it's battle with the weather when failing a second inspection this morning. Cork was found to be waterlogged following an 8am inspection. Track officials at Fairyhouse first announced an inspection for 7.30am due to the threat of further rain overnight but found that snow was the main problem and decided to check again at 9am. However, conditions had not improved sufficiently and with more snow on the way, track officials were forced call it off. The Irish Turf Club's press officer Cliff Noone said, 'Fairyhouse has gone as they have had a good bit of snow and the track is covered. There is a chance that they might reschedule for next week but we will just have to see.'
