Fenton hoping Caim can bounce back

Philip Fenton hopes Caim Hill can bounce back from defeat on latest start when he lines-up for the Kevin Brady Car Sales Citroen Novice Hurdle at Fairyhouse on Tuesday.

The six-year-old had won his first three starts over jumps but then disappointed when seventh in the Grade Two Michael Purcell Memorial Novice Hurdle at Thurles in February.

"He appears to be in good form and we are hoping for a big run out of him," said the County Tipperary trainer.

"We are hoping he can put that run at Thurles behind him. Everything's been grand since then. We have been feeling our way with him and he's coming along nicely."

Clan Tara, who took that Thurles prize is also among the 11 declarations though his trainer Paul Nolan took him out of the three-mile handicap hurdle on Sunday because of unsuitable ground.

John Kiely has warned that Head Of The Posse will not run if he is not happy with the going on Tuesday.

"He's well but he will only run provided the ground is safe," said the County Waterford trainer.

Head Of The Posse, owned by JP McManus, has won two of his five starts over hurdles at Fairyhouse and Punchestown.

Roberto Goldback, Quiscover Fontaine and Oscar Dan Dan are all leading players, while Beckett Rock, Lenabane, One To Many, Oscar Looby and Our Western Boy complete the field for the two-and-a-half mile heat.
