Fill The Tank returned to something like his best form when running out a very easy winner of the Panoramic Restaurant At Limerick Races Handicap Hurdle.

Trained in Newmarket-On-Fergus by Aengus King, the nine-year-old had lost his way of late but always travelled easily throughout his race before arriving with his challenge under Cian Quirke at the second last flight.

Sent on after jumping that penultimate obstacle, the gelding merely needed to be pushed out hands and heels for an easy three-and-a-quarter lengths win.

Winning trainer Aengus King said: "Gavin (Brouder) was booked to ride but had an earlier fall so it was only by chance that Cian rode him and he was unbelievable and took great instruction. I told him to be up with the pace but to keep a hold of him. He is a class act and is a very good rider.

"We had a lot of trouble with him (Fill The Tank) in the last 12 months but did a lot of flat work and he is only really enjoying himself now. He has had lots of problems with his back.

"I had loads of people looking at him after he won his point-to-point first-time out but he had a wind problem and that's why he wasn't sold."
