Flemensfirth Colt Tops Select NH Foal Sale At Goffs The introduction of a day dedicated to select foals proved a phenomenal success at Goffs December National Hunt Sale on Tuesday. There was huge competition from buyers throughout the day for quality animals, and none more so than for sale topper Lot 318, a Flemensfirth half brother to listed winner Gemini Lucy from the family of Jodami. Consigned by Ballincurrig House Stud, the colt was bought by John O'Byrne for ?75,000. Gleann Connor Stud later paid ?65,000 for a good looking son of King's Theatre out of a half sister to Ottowa and Calling Brave, sold by Yellowford Farm, while Kilbarry Lodge Stud's Classic Cliche half brother to six time winner Racing Demon (Lot 474) entered the ring late in the evening and realised ?50,000 when knocked down to Martinstown Stud. Turnover for the day reached ?2,104,000, average was ?13,488 while the median recorded was ?11,000. The December National Hunt Sale continues on Wednesday with foals and Thursday with foals and breeding stock. Selling commences at 10am both days. The one day Goffs December Flat Sale takes place on Friday 8th at 10am and features yearlings, foals and breeding stock.
