Weatherbys have announced that Irish Breeders are now able to use the new

General Stud Book (GSB) online registration platform to complete their registrations.

The first phase of the launch has seen online foal registration go live and breeders in

Ireland can visit weatherbysgsb.ie. to make a registration.

To encourage Breeders to use the new online facility Weatherbys have left the 2017 fee for foal registration at €132 (inc VAT) for online registrations but

there is an increase to the fee for paper registrations to €150 (inc VAT).

The online platform, which is already available to British Breeders, streamlines the registration process and is available on both desktop and mobile with payments being made by credit/debit card charged to a Weatherbys account or Irish Invoicing account.

Further development of the platform is underway and will facilitate, broodmare and

stallion registration, change of ownership, import and export applications, covering

certificate uploads, breeder registration reports, application tracking, and an eCRM

facility.

Russell Ferris, chief executive of Weatherbys Ireland, said: “We are delighted to

introduce the General Stud Book Online Registrations platform in Ireland. To date it has been very well received by those breeders who have made their foal registrations via the new system. It is our objective to incorporate new technology into the General Stud Book, to create user friendly, mobile and efficient systems to meet the demands of the modern breeder.”
