Foley at double aboard Falls Of Acharn The always-prominent Falls Of Acharn showed good improvement to get off the mark at the third time of asking in the mile maiden for three-year-olds plus in Leopardstown. He tracked throughout and headed Spodo Komodo just outside the final furlong. Shane drove him on and the 11/4 joint favourite kept on well to see it out by a length and a-quarter. Fixation (25/1) rattled in for second by a short head from Spodo Komodo (8/1). He brought up a double for Shane Foley who won race two on Solomon Islands for Eric McNamara. Jessica Harrington said: “He’s a smashing horse. I think the step back in trip helped, but he can probably go up again now, “He’s learning all the time. He was laid-back to start with, but then he got free. Today, he did everything right which is great. “Being one of Kate’s (Harrington), he’s obviously for sale.” Additional reporting by Gary Carson
