Gaelic Des Chastys on recovery mission in Killarney Eric McNamara is well represented in Killarney this evening and is particularly looking forward to Gaelic Des Chastys in the Bunkers Killorglin 40th Birthday Handicap Steeplechase over the extended two-miles-seven-furlongs. This nine-year-old gelding was beaten a short head on the line in Roscommon just over two weeks ago after which jockey Patrick O'Brien was handed a 14-day suspension under the rule which governs stopping riding and costing a better place. McNamara said: “I have three runners in Killarney and I’m looking forward to running Gaelic Des Chastys. “He was unlucky in Roscommon when beaten a (short) head. I’d like to think he can go one better.” Gary Noonan replaces O'Brien on top-weight, and favourite, Gaelic Des Chastys this evening. McNamara's other runners are bottom-weight Hees Dynamite in the Brehon Hotel & Spa Handicap Steeplechase, and Embittered in the Gallivan Financial Handicap Steeplechase. He saddled a winner in Sligo yesterday evening through Glitz And Glamour. Additional reporting by Alan Magee
