Shane Foley completed a double on the evening as Indigo Dream gained reward for her consistency when opening her account at the eighth attempt in the New Saddle Bar At Dundalk Stadium Maiden.

Trained by Ross O’Sullivan for Eleanora Kennedy, the Havana Grey filly filled the runner-up spot on three occasions and was again placed when reappearing here last month.

The 1/2 favourite made headway to lead over a furlong and soon asserted before keeping on well to easily score by three and a half lengths. Land Of The Giants kept on one paced in second with Gaiety Girl a further three-quarters of a length back in third.

Foley said, “She's a filly we always liked from before she ever ran as a two-year-old. She had some lovely two-year-old runs.

"Between one thing and the other this year, she had a few little setbacks early doors. Ross gave her all the time in the world and hopefully she can reap the benefits next year.

"It is just nice to get a win into her; she deserved that.

"We were going a mile, and she had gone seven (furlongs) as a two-year-old. We always thought she would get a mile, but she can race quite enthusiastically. She has that big, long stride - not so much being keen, but she gets over plenty of ground. We went along a nice gallop today.

"She was entitled to do that, but she gave me a nice feel throughout the race. I could feel her get down and gallop.

"She's a filly I always thought was a stakes filly. Her form tipped away, but she could be okay next year in the middle of the summer hopefully."

Foley was also on the mark earlier aboard Sovereign Cry (2/1).
