Foley referred over Rummaging ride The Turf Club has announced today that their Chief Executive Denis Egan, under Rule 27, has referred jockey Shane Foley to the referrals committee. This is in relation to the five-days suspension Foley was given for careless riding by the Dundalk stewards on Friday 22nd November after his winning ride on Rummaging in the Dundalk - Light Up Your Night Handicap. Foley's mount Rummaging was trapped in a pocket early in the straight in the Dundalk contest, but the pair forced a gap between runners inside the final furlong, eventually scoring by 3/4 length from Antiquus. The runner-up received several bumps during the incident, but following a stewards' enquiry the result was left unaltered.
