Follow the Galileos for a profitable Wednesday

The progeny of Galileo are in action across Britain and Ireland tomorrow and it isn't inconceivable that the Coolmore sire could have winners at four different meetings – including two under National Hunt rules.

Swing Bowler is an intriguing runner in the concluding race at Wincanton, the 5.35, when Conor O'Farrell will do the steering on the four-year-old filly. David Pipe trains Swing Bowler (Galileo – Lady Cricket) for David Johnson and he said of his charge in a stable tour back in October: "It's early days for this one, but I have to include her.

"She's out of the best mare Dad ever trained and her sire needs no introduction. Lady Cricket's only offspring to race so far, Cricket Boy, didn't inherit any of his mother's ability, but we hope it will be a different story with this lovely filly. She'll start off in junior bumpers."

Meanwhile Gordon Elliott, the 'king of Perth' has Doux Douce (Galileo – Captivating) in action in the 7.10 at the Scottish track on Wednesday. Keith Donoghue will get the leg-up on this Capranny Stables contender and this fellow, improving steadily over hurdles, is fancied to beat mainly exposed rivals in first time cheek-pieces.

Oaks entry Amazing Beauty (Galileo - Doula) could well improve for her maiden success to take a hand in the Musidora Stakes at 2.30 at York under Ryan Moore.

Meanwhile at Naas, there are four Galileos in the Group 3 Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Blue Wind Stakes – namely Eirnin (Pat Smullen), Luxurious (David McCabe), Spin (Wayne Lordan) and Why (Colm O'Donoghue).

Half-an-hour later Seamie Heffernan is on Sam Lord's Castle (Galileo – Tadkiyra) in the ten furlong maiden whilst in the concluding event at 8.30, Jim Bolger sends Claiomh Solais (Galileo – Scribona) and David Wachman has Livia's Wake (Galileo – Liska) in action.

In the opener at Naas, Maybe (Galileo – Sumora) runs in a very interesting juvenile fillies six furlong maiden. (EM)
