Frankel in limelight again in Chesham A clash between two of the first batch of Frankel's offspring highlights the Chesham Stakes when Cunco takes on Frankuus. John Gosden's Cunco was Frankel's first born and also the first to make the track. He certainly lived up to his sire's reputation when making an eyecatching winning debut at Newbury. Cunco also got quite excited in the paddock pre-race and Robert Havlin then struggled to pull him up after he won going away by three-quarters of a length. Gosden is unsure how the youngster will handle the conditions at Royal Ascot on Saturday. The Clarehaven handler said: "The plan is to run. I don't know about the ground. "We are in the dark about it how he will handle it, so we will just have to see how he goes. "It seems to be quite holding on the straight track. He is a hot-headed devil, that has a very strong mind. "He has come forward from his last run." Mark Johnston's Frankuus also made a winning debut at Haydock and was another to show a few wayward tendencies. However, once he got galloping he advertised the fact he also possesses a big engine. Johnston said: "I don't think our Frankel was hyped us much as the first (Cunco) on his first start. Like him (Cunco), I think he is a bit of a Jack the Lad. "We are are hoping he goes the right way and he has come on since his Haydock run.
