Gallagher tests positive for banned substance

Dean Gallagher`s riding career is under threat after the Champion Hurdle winning jockey revealed today that he has once again tested positive for a banned substance.

In a statement, he said: 'I wish to announce that I have tested positive for a banned substance that may signal the end of my riding career.

'It is well known that I have put a great deal of effort into my ongoing recovery but life is not always as easy as it often appears.'
