Tequila Talkin' delights Nolan at Wexford Tequila Talkin' travelled strongly in the first-time hood on her way to victory in the mares' maiden hurdle at Wexford. Jordan Gainford had her positioned in third behind Hillhead Runner and Mummy Derry on the long run between three out and two out. As Mummy Derry weakened out of contention, Tequlia Talkin' closed on Hillhead Runner over the penultimate flight. Jordan Gainford gave her the office to go on before the last and she was left nicely clear when the headed Hillhead Runner departed there. Tequila Talkin' obliged by six lengths at 7/2 from Youre A Derry Girl who came through for second at 33/1. Long-priced backers also drew a place dividend from October Hill who was another six and a-half lengths away in third at 66/1. This was a step up in trip for Tequlia Talkin' after a third place in a mares' maiden hurdle at Listowel over two miles last month. Paul Nolan said: "She ran well the last day after a long break after an injury. We thought on her work at home that she had improved a nice bit. We gave her a nice bit of a break again to maybe eradicate the bounce factor. We thought that was gone out of her anyway because she worked well a couple of times since. "Obviously, when we saw Willie Mullins with an odds-on favourite (Mummy Derry) we thought there might be easier options, but the ground is lovely and safe and I'm glad she won. "There is no point in making plans after the injury like she had. Thankfully, she has never taken a lame step since. She came out of Listowel perfect and, please God, she'll come out of this perfect too." Additional reporting by Donal Murphy
