Not surprisingly given the poor weather, the attendance figure at Ballybrit was back from last year – 17,510 in 2011 as opposed to 14,058 this year.

The Tote aggregate was also down. Last year the figure was €668,777.32. In 2012 it was €595,706.28.

Meanwhile 'in the ring' the figure for today was €970,298, back from €1,451,297 twelve months ago.
