Barry Geraghty expects Kitten Rock to improve on his winning chasing bow at Navan last Sunday.

The five-year-old beat Sizing Titanium just over a length on his first attempt over fences in public and Geraghty was pleased enough with his performance, although he admits it may not have been the best race.

He told his At The Races blog: "Kitten Rock did what he had to do in winning his beginners' chase at Navan.

"I'm sure that it wasn't the hottest beginners' chase in the world, but he did it nicely. He took well to his fences, and he won well from Sizing Titanium, with the pair of us pulling nicely clear.

"He is going to have to improve on the bare performance if he is going to take the next step up, but there should be a nice bit of improvement in him. He was a classy hurdler last year and he jumps fences well. He is only five and I'm sure that this was just the first step on the ladder."
