Gift Horse Out Of Gold Cup

David Nicholls has ruled Gift Horse out of this month´s totesport Ayr Gold Cup and revealed his promising sprinter will not be seen again this season.

An impressive winner of the Stewards´ Cup, Gift Horse was well supported when upped in class in the Haydock Sprint Cup last weekend, but trailed home last of 17 runners.

Nicholls said: 'He´s going for a bone scan at Newmarket on Monday.

'He won´t run again this season but we will see him back in action next season.'
