Having won the first bumper at Cork on Backmersackme John Gleeson doubled up on Air Of Excitement (1/1 fav) in the Mares Point-To-Point Flat Race.

He executed similar tactics on this winner, bringing her through on the outer in the straight to lead over a furlong out and Henry de Bromhead's charge, owned by Robcour, went on to account for Ocean Brew by four and three quarter lengths.

"That's my first double and it's not often you get two bumpers on one card," said 5lb claimer Gleeson.

"She is a nice type of mare, was behind the bridle and it took the penny a while to drop with her but when it did, she did it nicely. She has lovely size and I think she's going to be a nice mare for the future. She is still raw and will strengthen up again."

He added: "I ride out in Henry's two days a week, I'm in college on a Tuesday and I'm also in John Kiely's, Joseph's (O'Brien) and Gordon's (Elliott). There is only one bumper per day and rides are hard got, so I'm delighted to ride a double."
