Glens Anthem made odds of 9/4 look huge in the bumper at Navan as she made an impressive start to her career under Patrick Mullins.

Willie Mullins trains the daughter of Harzand for her breeder Fiona McStay. The five-year-old is out of 12-time winner Glens Melody who took advantage of Annie Power's fall to win the Mares' Hurdle at Cheltenham in 2015.

Having travelled well behind the leaders, the debutant was sent for home a furlong and a half out and bounded clear to beat the well-backed 13/8 favourite Bunker Buster by seven and a half lengths.

"I love her! She's an easy ride. She looks like a gelding and I think she is very, very good," said the winning rider.

"I think there is plenty of improvement to come. She is very relaxed, I kind of had to keep wakening her up, and the idea coming here was to give her enough time to recover before the Grade 3 at Punchestown."
