Goffs have extended their support of the Curragh Racecourse by agreeing to continue their sponsorship of the Group 1 Goffs Vincent O’Brien National Stakes on September 15th for the third successive year, and in addition will add their name to a race over both days of Darley Irish Oaks weekend.

The race has been associated with the memory of the legendary Vincent O’Brien since 2009, with the O’Brien Family presenting a perpetual trophy to the winning owner.

Commenting on the Group 1 sponsorship, Goffs Chief Executive Henry Beeby said: “Goffs Vincent O’Brien National Stakes is the two-year-old event of the season in Ireland and is a race that we are extremely proud to be associated with.

"The success of last year’s Orby Sale was down to the outstanding support of Irish breeders who sent us a top class selection of yearlings, and in turn Goffs is committed to supporting the Irish racing industry through sponsorships of this calibre. We are also delighted to sponsor two additional races on Oaks weekend.”

Paul Hensey General Manager of the Curragh added: "We are delighted that Goffs have agreed to continue their sponsorship at the Curragh by renewing their association with the Vincent O'Brien National Stakes which will be part of a Super Sunday programme and also extending their sponsorship by taking two competitive races over our Darley Irish Oaks weekend."
