The last day of the Christmas Festival at Leopardstown sees the ground Soft on both the chase and hurdle tracks. The forecast is for a mainly dry morning with bright spells. There is a chance of showers in the afternoon.

The mouthwatering clash between champion hurdler Hurricane Fly and classy young pretenders Our Conor and Jezki takes place in the Grade 1 Ryanair Hurdle at 2.00pm. Early betting has Hurricane Fly the 6/4 favourite, Our Conor at 5/2 and Jezki marked up at 10/3. Foxrock also hosts the Grade 1 Topaz Novice Steeplechase for which Morning Assembly is the clear market leader.

The Grade 3 IFG European Breeders Fund Mares Hurdle has Upsie installed as the odds on favourite.

In Limerick it's also the end of their four-day festival and the going is Heavy on both tracks after 2mm of rain yesterday evening.

After winning a point-to-point in November and a maiden hurdle in Downpatrick earlier this month, northern raider Maple Valley Gold goes for a hat-trick in the beginners' chase at 2.50pm.
