The going at Fairyhouse is good to yielding. The weather is forecast to be dry today with rain expected overnight and a generally dry day tomorrow.

The first of seven races today is off at 2.40pm. Just four horses go to post for the Grade 1 Powers Gold Cup at 4.40pm, but what a race in prospect as Ballycasey Bright New Dawn Mozoltov and Rebel Fitz do battle.

The most valuable race on the card is the €100,000 Tattersalls Ireland Sales Bumper. Only three of the 14 runners have been seen on the racetrack proper. Henry de Bromhead's Motown Bob is around 4/1 after running third on debut in Punchestown.

Dow in Cork the ground is soft. Action commences at 2.30pm and again there are seven races to solve. The Grade 3 Imperial Call Steeplechase sees top-weight Toner D'Oudairies installed as the 11/10 favourite to account for his six rivals.
