Racing takes place at both Listowel and Gowran Park this afternoon, and the going has improved marginally overnight at both venues.

The seven-day Listowel Festival concludes today, and organisers have done well to get through the week as scheduled on very testing ground.

The ground is currently described as heavy, soft in places, following no overnight rain and the weather forecast is to remain dry.

The first on an eight-race National Hunt card at the North Kerry track gets underway at 1.40pm, and ten go to post for the featured M J Carroll ARRO Handicap Hurdle.

Gowran hosts an all Flat meeting beginning at 2.00pm with the highlight being the Group 3 D Cordell Lavarack/Lanwades Stud Stakes. The going is now soft to heavy.
