Golantilla update Tony Martin hopes to get a run into Golantilla before he returns to Cheltenham for a second crack at the Champion Bumper next month. Owned by Barry Connell, the six-year-old finished third behind Briar Hill at the Festival last year and the decision was taken to delay his hurdling career. He was entered at Ascot this weekend but given the stormy weather, a run there was always unlikely. "There's a possibility of a race for him next week," said Martin. "It's our intention to go to Cheltenham and I'm hoping to get a run into him. "With him having a setback in the summer, Barry suggested having another go at the bumper rather than going hurdling and I was very happy to go along with that." Golantilla is the general 8-1 third-favourite for the Champion Bumper behind the Willie Mullins-trained duo of Black Hercules and Shaneshill.
