Gowran remains heavy

Following 11mm of rain overnight into this morning, Gowran Park remains heavy ahead of this afternoon's Thyestes meeting.

There is the possibility of a further 3mm of rain prior to racing, but it is set to be mainly dry thereafter.

The big race goes to post at 3.30pm and Captain Cody is currently the 5/1 favourite.

Fairyhouse And Limerick Updates

Following a further 7mm of rain (20mm in total since entries), Fairyhouse is now heavy ahead of Saturday's card.

There is the possibility of a further 15-20mm prior to racing, according to Met Eireann, and officials are monitoring the situation.

Limerick race next Tuesday and, following 53mm of rain in last two weeks, the going is soft to heavy, heavy in places.

There is the possibility of a further 30mm prior to racing. They will be racing on the inside track with the hurdles on the outer line.

Thurles race next Thursday and, following 35mm of rain in the last three days, it is yielding to soft. The forecast remains unsettled.
