Grandera heads Newmarket field Godolphin`s Grandera heads 37 entries for the Stg#80,000 Princess of Wales`s UAE Equestrian and Racing Federation Stakes at Newmarket next month.The four-year-old followed up his success in the Singapore Airlines International Cup with an impressive five-length victory in the Prince of Wales`s Stakes at Royal Ascot last week.The Grand Lodge colt is one of nine Godolphin-owned entries in the Group Two event over a mile and a half on Tuesday, July 9th - the first day of the July meeting.Others from the Saeed bin Suroor stable include Jockey Club Stakes winner Marienbard and top-class miler Noverre.Mark Johnston has a particularly strong hand which includes the three-year-olds Simeon, third in the French Derby, and easy Lingfield Derby Trial winner Bandari.Amongst the Middleham trainer`s older entries are Hardwicke Stakes winner Zindabad. He was fourth to Mutamam in last year`s Princess of Wales`s Stakes.Golan, winner of the Sagitta 2000 Guineas and runner-upin the Vodafone Derby last season, is the sole entry from Sir Michael Stoute`s stable.Aidan O`Brien`s six entries include Budweiser Irish Derby probables Ballingarry and Della Francesca.
